Pride Month is also the perfect opportunity for teachers and parents to educate their students about the gay rights movement, which is an often-overlooked part of US history.
Pride Month gives the LGBTQ+ community the chance to celebrate, learn about their heritage, meet new people and think about everything they've accomplished. Since the '90s, the United States has celebrated Pride Month in June every year.
